Women's Soccer Honors Their Six Seniors with Victory Over Cardinals

Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU women's soccer team hosted the Cardinals of William Jewell college this afternoon on Senior day. The Bearcats honored the six seniors in style with a 2-0 victory. That win moves them to 4-8-3 (2-6-2 GLVC) on the season. They now have 8 points in the conference standings with three games remaining.  

The Bearcats dominated the Cardinals all game out shooting them 22 to 7, 14 to 1 in shots on goal. The Bearcats were able to sink two of their shots into the back of the net. One goal came from junior Abby Harrison who scored her second goal of the season on a penalty kick. 17 minutes into the second half freshman Savannah Green added to the Bearcats lead with the third goal of the season.  

Southwest Baptist got to honor six seniors, head coach Stefan Skillman's first recruiting class at SBU. They honored #1 Ashlynn Edison, #3 Madalyn Henley, #7 Madison Bollin, #14 Madigan May, #23 Madison Geren, and #28 Allyson Lieber.  

The Seniors and the rest of the Bearcats will return for one final home game on Sunday October 22nd where they will host Rockhurst University. They will battle the Hawks at 12:00pm on the SBU soccer field.
