Box Score 2 Hammond, Ind. - The SBU volleyball team finished their last day of competition in the Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament after yesterday's dominating performance. The Bearcats started the day slow but would have a comeback win against the Lake Superior State University Lakers. The Bearcats would build off their morning win and finish the day with their second sweep of the weekend against the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers.
In the Bearcats game against the Lakers, they would start off slow, losing the first two sets but would turn it around as they would come out on top for their last three sets. Ella Rademaker led the team in kills with 16 along with Loran Pritchett who was right behind her with 15.
In the afternoon, the Bearcats faced the Panthers in hopes of finishing off the tournament with another win. The Bearcats would finish the weekend with another dominating sweep against the Panthers. It would be a team effort with Deryan Simpson leading the Bearcats with 8 kills, followed by Loran Pritchett and Ella Rademaker who both had 7 kills, and Rory Stanley who would have 6 kills.
Southwest Baptist volleyball will be back in GLVC action as they host the University of Illinois Springfield. The match is set to start at 6:00 PM at the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar, Mo.
