Hammond, Ind. - The SBU volleyball team took a break from conference action today as they competed in day one of the Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament. The Bearcats took on Thomas More in their opening game. It was a clean 3-0 sweep over the Saints moving SBU to 9-10 on the season. 

The Bearcats won every set by either six or five points, not allowing the Saints a chance to win a set. The clean sweep was a team effort with numerous players pitching in and giving the Bearcats the win. Sophomore Ella Rademaker led the team in kills with nine, with senior Loran Pritchett right behind with eight. Bearcat newcomers Sydney McNeil and Chandler Lawrence each had six.  

Southwest Baptist will return to play tomorrow for two more games in the crossover tomorrow. They will begin their day at 9 a.m. as they take on Lake Superior State then will return to play Kentucky Wesleyan at 4:30p p.m.
