Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team returns to conference play Saturday afternoon as they play host to the Lewis University Flyers. The game will take place in the Meyer Wellness Center with a scheduled tipoff of 3:00 PM.
The Flyers enter this game with a conference record of 1-4, currently sitting them in 12
th place. They are in the bottom tier of the conference defensively averaging 71 PPG (10
th) and allowing teams to shoot 46% (12
th). As a team they do shoot 46% from the field being very efficient on offense.
The Bearcats return to conference play on a four-game winning streak in hopes to return atop the conference from a year ago. Despite struggling early in conference play they still are at the top of most statistical categories. They are top 3 in scoring offense & defense, offensive FG%, defensive FG%, defensive 3-point FG%, free throw %, and 1
st in rebound margin. Freshman
Drenin Dinkins currently leads all freshman across the Nation in free throw percentage. He has made 50 of 54 for 92.6% on the season.
