Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team returned home this evening to battle the Rockhurst Hawks. The Bearcats extended their winning streak against the Hawks to five as they dominated them in a 92-66 victory. This win moves them to 13-5 (5-5 GLVC) on the season.
"I thought our guys had a really nice response… I thought our guys led from wire to wire and did some good things, hopefully that will give us some confidence going forward." Head Coach

Mitch Ganote had another stellar performance recording his 7
th double-double of the season and nearly his second triple-double. He scored 19 points off 73% from the field, dished out 11 assists, and had eight rebounds.
"I just try to make the right play every time." Ganote said, "Whatever that is, if it's me shooting a layup, if it's hitting Quinn in a corner for three, or it's getting the rebound. I just try to do whatever is best for the team."
Five other Bearcats also scored in double figures, with
RJ Crawford trailing Ganote slightly with 17 points off 6-9 from the field.

Drew McMillin, and
Bayley Crawford each had 13, 11, 11, and 10 points respectively. The Bearcats also had an impressive 21 assists to only 10 turnovers for a 2.1 assist to turnover ratio.
The Bearcats will look to continue this momentum as they travel to William Jewell University this Saturday, January 21
st. Tipoff for the game is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
