Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist University Football Head Coach
Robert Clardy announced the hiring of Sam Mora as the new quarterback's coach/pass game coordinator on Thursday, January 19th.
Mora comes to Southwest Baptist after serving as the quarterbacks coach at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT for the last four seasons.
While at Rocky, Coach Mora was a part of the program turnaround from 4-7 to 7-3 Frontier Conference Champions. He was the position coach for Nate Dick, who was Honorable Mention All-American (2021) and Dawson Schick, who was All-Frontier Conference (2021 Spring.)
Coach Mora began his coaching career in 2010 at Alameda High School in California where he coached the quarterbacks and was the offensive coordinator. After leaving Alameda, Mora spent three years at Whitfield Athletix in San Diego, CA to help prepare draft prospects for the NFL draft. Coach Mora has been a coordinator on four conference championship teams at the high school level and players trained and coached include: Jameis Winston, Johnny Manziel, Bryce Petty, Mike Evans, Logan Thomas, and Keelan Doss (at Alameda High School 2010-14).
Sam Mora is from Oakland, California, and is the son of Samuel Mora Sr. and Amy Mora.
Coach Clardy has also announced that
Brandon Niccum has been promoted to Co-Offensive Coordinator. Niccum has been on the Bearcats staff since 2021 and has been offensive line coach and run game coordinator. The Bearcats rushing attack has seen much improvement under his leadership of the offensive line; rushing for over 1,200 yards more this season than 2021. SBU junior running back

th in the nation in rushing yards and led the GLVC in rushing yards and touchdowns.
