Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team returns home after a five day, three game road trip in Illinois and northeast Missouri. They play host to the Rockhurst Hawks Thursday, January 19
th, in the Meyer Center with a scheduled tipoff of 7:30 PM. This will be the 58
th matchup between these two programs with SBU trailing 25-32.
The Bearcats went 1-2 on their three-game road trip. Their first game was a buzzer beating overtime heart breaker as the Prairie Stars remained undefeated at home. SBU then picked up a win against Quincy University, the top team in conference. In their final game of the trip the Truman Bulldogs shot 60% in the second half to pull away with the win.
Mitch Ganote is having a great senior season as he leads the entire conference in double-doubles with six. He is also top-25 in the Nation in assist/turnover ratio, assist per game, and triple-doubles. Ganote is only 75 points away from 1,000 and 97 assists away from the SBU record.
