Bearcats Women’s Basketball Welcomes 11 Newcomers to the 2022-2023 Squad

Please join SBU Women's Basketball Head Coach Kelsey Keizer and Associate Coach Brittney Dukes in welcoming their 2022 recruiting class to SBU. The Bearcats will add two high school standouts in addition to 9 transfer student athletes to their roster this Fall. The Bearcats named Kyleigh Vaught to the position of Graduate Assistant Coach earlier this summer.
 
Kori Cromer is the daughter of Brad and Kerri Cromer of Marshfield, Missouri. Kori graduated from Lebanon High School in May 2022 after completing a successful Senior season for Coach Jacky Payne and the Lebanon Yellowjackets. Kori averaged 15 points per game, 3.6 assists per game, 3 rebounds per game, and 2.7 steals per game. Kori scored over 1,000 points in her career and was a 3 time All-Conference and All-District performer. Kori plans to study commercial art at SBU.
 
Kristin Edmonds is a 2022 graduate of Carterville High School in Illinois. Kristin is the daughter of Tim and Rachel Edmonds and plans to pursue biology and pre-physical therapy at SBU. Kristin is a 5'8" guard who earned All-Conference, SICA All-South and All-District honors in high school. Kristin returned to the court for her Senior season after suffering a major leg injury in the Spring of 2021. Kristin averaged 7.3 points per game while also pulling down 124 rebounds, dishing out 90 assists, and grabbing 29 steals on the season.
 
Jayde Williams is a Sophomore transfer from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. Jayde plans to study mass communication/journalism at SBU. Her Johnson County Cavaliers team coached by Ben Conrad was ranked #1 in NJCAA Division II in 2022 and finished Runner-Up in the 2021 National Tournament. Jayde is the daughter of Rick & Jodi Williams and graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph Missouri in May of 2019. Jayde was a 3 time All-District and All-City performer as well as 2 time All-Conference at Benton High School. Her team went undefeated and won the state championship in 2016.
 
Gabby Fuller is the daughter of Jennifer Westcott and also graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. She plans to study Biology at SBU. Gabby was a key contributor for Ben Conrad's Cavaliers at Johnson County Community College. This past season Gabby averaged 8.4 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game, and shot 51% from the field and 40% from the 3-point line. Gabby is proud to have accomplished back to back Conference Championships at Johnson as well as 2022 Regional Champions, 2021 National Tournament Runner Up, and a 5th Place finish in the 2022 National Tournament.
 
Tori Hamilton joins the Bearcats after two seasons at NCAA Division I SIU-Edwardsville. Tori is a 6'6" center from Paris, Missouri and is the daughter of Jeff and Candy Hamilton. Tori's father, Jeff Hamilton, is an alum of the SBU Men's Basketball team. In high school, Tori earned 1st Team All-Conference, All-District, and All-State Honors. She set career records at Paris High School for field goals made (612) and career blocks (407). She also holds records for 11 blocks in a single game and 41 points in a single game. Tori plans to study Elementary Education at SBU.
 
Khylee Massey is a 6'0" Sophomore forward transfer from Johnson County Community College. Khylee is the daughter of Lanny and Dawn Massey. Her father was her high school basketball coach at Northern Heights High School in Kansas. Khylee earned All-State and All-Conference honors as well as being named 2020 Emporia Area Female Senior Athlete of the Year. She scored 1,147 points and pulled down 609 rebounds during her high school career. Khylee competed on Ben Conrad's Johnson County Community College Cavaliers team earning NJCAA Academic All-American honors in both 2021 and 2022. Khylee plans to study Biology Education at SBU.
 
Milena Fromming is a transfer guard from Cowley College. Milena played for Todd Clark in Arkansas City, Kansas for three seasons. In the 2022 season, Milena averaged 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. She shot 39.2% from the field and 35.6% from the 3-point line. Milena is originally from Candelaria, Brazil and plans to study Psychology with Sport Performance Enhancement at SBU. She is the daughter of Adriana Strassburger and Marcio Fromming.
 
Bianca Oliver comes to SBU after one season at East Texas Baptist University. Bianca is the daughter of LaChelsea Oliver and David Mullenix. She is originally from Bossier City, Louisiana and played at Parkway High School, the same school as current Associate Head Coach Brittney Dukes. Bianca averaged 8.1 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 2 steals per game. She set a school record at Parkway High School with 16 rebounds in a game. Bianca earned Academic All-State Honors and plans to major in Accounting at SBU.
 
Claudia Vanzant is a 6'0 Sophomore transfer from Ouachita Baptist University. Last season Claudia started in 12 games for the Tigers averaging 5.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Claudia plans to study Business Management/Marketing at SBU. She is the daughter of Greg and Renate Vanzant. Claudia's father, Greg Vanzant, was a member of the SBU Bowling Team that participated in the National Tournament in 1981. Claudia is originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma. In high school, she played for Coach Kendra Kilpatrick and earned All-State and All-Conference Honors.
 
Karlee Holland is a 5'7" transfer guard from Three Rivers Community College. Last season Karlee averaged 9 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and shot 33.5% from the 3-point line. The Three Rivers Raiders team under Coach Alex Wiggs was ranked #1 in the NJCAA Division I and won the Regional Championship two years in a row. Karlee earned both All-Region and All-Conference Honors. Karlee is originally from Licking, Missouri and earned All-State, All-Conference, and All-District Honors under the direction of Coach Steve Rissler. She was named KJEL Player of the Year and is Licking High School's all-time leading scorer with 2,278 points. Karlee is the daughter of Brian and Dawn Holland and plans to major in Exercise Science at SBU.
 
Teagan Brouwer is a 6'0" transfer post player from Cowley College. While under the direction of Coach Todd Clark, Teagan averaged 3.7 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game in her career at Cowley.  Teagan is the daughter of Tabatha and Stephen Brouwer and is originally from Edmonton, Canada. Teagan plans to study Nursing at SBU.
