Bolivar, Mo.- The SBU volleyball team played in two more games of the SBU/Drury invitational at the Meyer Wellness Center this evening. They played host to Missouri Western and Rockhurst University but fell in both matches to move to 3-5 on the season.

In game 2 of the day, the Bearcats took on old MIAA foe in Missouri Western. They struggled to catch a rhythm against the Griffons and fell in three sets. Junior
Ashley Lasher led the way in kills for the Bearcats with 7. Sophomore
Loran Pritchett was an all-around player recording two kills, seven assists, two solo blocks, and two serving aces.

The Bearcats fought hard against the Rockhurst Hawks in the second game, making it difficult on the 6-1 team. In set three, they trailed 20-22 and won the last 5 points to win the set. They fell in the end 1-3. Fresham
Ella Rademaker had another great game leading the team in kills with 10 while also recording three solo blocks.

Southwest Baptist will continue their long home stand starting next Friday, September 9
th as they take on Southeastern Oklahoma State. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
