Bolivar, Mo.- The SBU Women's Soccer team kicks off their 2022 season today as they travel to Searcy, Arkansas to take on Harding University at 5:00 PM. Stefan Skillman returns for his fourth season as the Bearcats head coach.
 
"We have a great group of young ladies; it has been a fun preseason.  They are playing very well together and making great progress.  A lot of that has to do with the experience from the returning players and the incoming players pushing the returners to be better," -Skillman.
 
The Bearcats more than doubled their conferences wins in Fall of 2021 from the Spring of 2021. Including an overtime win against Lindenwood University, a now Division 1 team. The Bearcats have 18 returners from last season to add onto the 18 talented newcomers. On the field, SBU is led by Junior captains and defenders Brooke Clark and Madison Geren. As well, Senior forward and captain Lexi Lanzafame.
 
"I am really excited for our upcoming season; we have been working hard and I feel good about our team and culture." Said Lanzafame. "I am grateful to play with such a talented, resilient, dedicated family and I can't wait to see what we accomplish!"
