Bolivar, Mo.- SBU Men's soccer team began their season today in Bethany, Oklahoma as they took on Southern Nazarene University. The Storm, who were picked second in the Great American Conference, took down the Bearcats with a final score of 0-5. Southwest Baptist starts off the season with an 0-1 overall record.
 
"A good challenge early in the season. We stayed in the game against a conference championship team with a fairly new group." -Head Coach Sabelo Hlongwane.
 
"Second half we made a few mistakes on very danger areas of the field and SNU took full advantage. We appreciated the level of competition as we prepare for conference games coming up in the next few weeks."
 
The Bearcats will continue their trip in Bethany, Oklahoma as they take on Dallas Baptist this Saturday, August 27^th at 5:00 PM.
