Bolivar, Mo.- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2022 ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams yesterday morning.

Both SBU's men and women tennis made All-Academic team for the ITA. The men were among 1 of 74 division II teams and the women were 1 of 110 division II teams. To receive this award, teams needed to have a GPA average of 3.2 or higher.

Four Bearcat women were named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete among the 715 across Division II. These include
Diana Cabrera,
Elsa Pascual,
Lola Cincunegui, and
Paula Ballesteros. Four Bearcat men were also named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete among the 545 across Division II. These include
Alvaro Nunez,
Max Sanoja, and
David Szeri, and
Makary Adamek. To be named a Scholar-Athlete, each individual must have at least a 3.5 GPA for the 2021-22 school year.
