Bolivar, Mo- The SBU softball team began their Senior day weekend this afternoon as they took on the Truman State Bulldogs. The Bearcats split the doubleheader winning the first game and falling short in the second moving to 8-36 (2-24 GLVC) on the season.

Game 1: Win, 9-6
- Reilly Rupert started on the mound and record her 5th win of the season.
- Bearcats combined for 7 hits and 7 RBI's
- Abby Henson had a team high 3 hits in the game
- The team combined for 8 stolen bases

Game 2: Loss, 4-12
- Kora Lowe started on the mound; recorded the loss 0-4
- Five Bearcats combined for 7 hits and 4 RBI's
- Henson and Kaitlyn Bagby led team with two hits; Henson had the team's lone home runÂ
- Henson combined for 5 hits and 3 RBI's on the day

The Bearcats will be back in action Sunday May 1
st, as they take on Quincy University. The softball team will recognize and honor their 8 seniors in between games. The first pitch is scheduled to start at 12 P.M.
