Pittsburg, Ks – The SBU track and field team traveled to Pittsburg State today to compete in the 14^th annual Gorilla Classic today.
 
Three Bearcats hit National qualifying marks giving them a shot to compete at the National Championship in Allendale, Michigan in late May. Elysia Burgos-Bedell was the first to qualify by getting 1^st place in the 1,500-meter run beating the provisional mark by six seconds. Zara Brown and Britney Clark continue their duo power by both placing in the top three and reaching that National mark in the 100-meter dash.
 
1^st Place-

• Zara Brown, 200-meter (24.41)
• Lainy Williams, 800-meter (2:13.28)
