Box Score The Bearcats fell 7-2 to Purdue University Northwest on Saturday night. They fell behind 5-0 in the second inning and were unable to put together any runs at the plate. The two runs came in the 8th when senior
Evan Turnquist hit a long home run to left field scoring
Kyler Rinehart. The Bearcats were able to get two more base runners that inning after a single up the middle by
Zeke Skinner and a walk to
Ayden Fetters, but they were left on base after two strikeouts and a fielders choice out at 2nd.
On the mound for the Bearcats, freshman starter
James Robinson could not find the strike zone and gave up one earned run. Tim Glenn replaced Robinson and pitched 3.2 innings in relief giving up 5 earned runs.
Corbin Reese followed Glenn going 2 innings and giving up one earned run. Junior transfer
Jake Schrock had his strongest outing of the year going 2 innings and giving up zero earned runs.
JR Deichler closed out the 9th inning giving up no runs.
The Bearcats return to action at 11:00 am on Sunday to close out the series against Purdue Northwest.
