Bearcats Drop First Two Games in Florida
The Bearcats opened up a four game series in Florida on Thursday night against Wayne State University and fell 14-1. Freshman
Ayden Fetters recorded two of the five hits for the Bearcats and sophomore
Eli Smock drove in the only run on the day when he singled in freshman
Jake Whittle. On the mound for the Bearcats, Khalil Vazquez Torres started the game but was unable to find the strike zone. Sophomore
Chase Wilson came in for Vazquez Torres in the 2
nd inning and had his longest outing of the year. Wilson pitched four innings giving up 3 earned runs. Sophmore JR Diechler also pitched three strong innings for the Bearcats giving up zero earned runs.
The Bearcats returned to action Friday afternoon as they faced #9 Rowan University. The bats came alive as the Bearcats powered out 13 hits and 8 runs. Unfortunately two big 3 run homeruns by the Profs and some misplays by the Bearcats gave Rowan the 10-8 win. Senior

Zeke Skinner and sophomore
Joe Wade each had two RBIs on the day. Junior
Colby Sneed also reached base 4 times as he had one hit and was also hit-by-pitch 3 times. Sophomore
Timothy Glenn had his first career start and went 5 innings while giving up 4 earned runs.
The Bearcats close out the 4 game trip with a doubleheader on Saturday against Wayne State. First pitch is scheduled for 10:30 am (EST) at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, FL.
