Bearcats Pick Up Two Nonconference Wins

Corbin Reese recorded his second win of the season off the mound for the Bearcats as SBU beat Ecclesia College 9-1 in game one of the Tuesday doubleheader. Reese pitched the 7 inning complete game giving up one earned run in the 2^nd inning while also recording five strikeouts. For the second game in a row, Colby Sneed led off the game with a homerun. Sneed, Ayden Fetters, Rhys Cratty, and Brock Wilken recorded two hits while Zeke Skinner hit three doubles in his first three at bats. 
 
The Bearcats fell behind early in game 2, but fought back to get the 5-4 win. Five different Bearcats recorded one RBI and Skinner hit his 4^th double of the day in the 6^th when he pinch hit. Cratty, Brock Wilken, Eli Smock, and Brennan Espy recorded the 3 other RBIs in game two. Ty McAninch recorded his first win of his career after he pitched out of an inherited bases loaded 6^th inning. He came in with 1 out and bases loaded to get a strikeout and a groundout to end the inning. After the Bearcats rallied and scored three runs in the bottom of the 6^th, McAninch got the three outs in the 7^th to secure the win. 
 
The Bearcats travel to Florida where they will play 4 games in 3 days March 17-19.
