Indianapolis, In- The SBU Indoor Track and Field team competed in day 1 of the GLVC Championships today. Multiple big marks were hit today, and others set themselves up for a good day 2.

Pentathlon and Heptathlon began the day, where
Paige Bradley and
Bladen Hancock took action. Bradley finished the event in 4
th place today, achieving a personal record in 4 out of the 5 events. Hancock rests in first place, after day 1, in the Heptathlon where he finished 1
st in 2 out of the 4 events that took place today. The final three events (Pole Vault, 60-meter hurdles, and 1,000 meter) will take place tomorrow.

Parker Love took 2
nd in the Men's long jump with a mark of 7.23, just .01 behind 1
st place.
Aubrie Sorrell placed 6
th in the Women's weight throw with a mark of 15.23. The Women's distance medley relay, comprising of
Tabitha Weber,
Zara Brown,
Brocklyn Barber, and
Elysia Burgos, finished 3
rd with a time of 11:57.72.

Other Bearcats competed in semi-finals today to qualify for tomorrow's finals.
Collinique Farrington got 3
rd in the Women's 400 meter to qualify for Sunday's finals.
Zara Brown broke the GLVC and SBU record today in the 60-meter dash. She along with
Britney Clark will advance to the finals. Brown, Farrington, Clark went 2,3, and 4 in the semi-finals of 200-meter dash advancing to Sunday's finals.
Parker Love also advanced to tomorrows finals in the Men's 60-meter dash.
