Romeoville, Ill- The SBU Men's basketball team finished off their road trip this afternoon as they took on Lewis University. The Bearcats got behind early and continued to fight their way back but fell in the end 79-89. That loss moves the Bearcats to 19-5 (13-4 GLVC) on the season.

Clark Sheehy, "We got in too big of a hole and competed really hard but came up short. I thought our guys gave a great effort and did some positive things especially in the second half."

Mitch Ganote finished the game with a career high 30 points and 1 rebound shy of a double-double with 9. He shot 8-15 (53.3%) from the field and 3-5 (60%) from beyond the arc, while also going 11-13 from the charity stripe. Ganote tagged along 5 assists and 2 steals with his rebound and point totals. Three other Bearcats scored in double digits including
RJ Crawford,
Quinn Nelson, and Nico Agguirre.

The Bearcats will be back in Bolivar this Thursday, February 24
th as they take on the Truman State Bulldogs. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
