Topeka, Ks.- The SBU Indoor Track and Field team traveled to Washburn University today to take place in the Ichabod Invitational. While most of the team was at that meet, the Women's Distance Medley Relay traveled to Michigan to compete in the Grand Valley State meet.

Will O'Keefe was the Bearcats sole first place finish today where he ran a 1:54.92 in the Men's 800. The women's DMR ran a 11:49 which is currently 15
th in the nation with a team consisting of
Tabitha Weber,
Collinique Farrington,
Alexis Barber, and
Elysia Burgos.
Lilly Simmons placed 4
th in the Women's high jump with a mark of 1.62m.
Aubrie Sorrell also placed 4
th but in the women's shot put with a mark of 12.24m.

Multiple Bearcats reached their personal best in todays meet. Amanda Bersktresser got a 18:34.38 time in the women's 5000.
Gage McElhaney recorded a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:25.10. In the same event
Colby Sanders also reached a personal best time of 4:20.88.
Brocklyn Barber reached her personal best in the mile with a time of 5:09.28.
Carter Adams also ran a best in the 3000 with a time of 9:12.98.
"We had a good weekend on both sides. Both distance medley relay teams hitting National provisional marks for the weekend started us off well. We also had multiple personal bests on the weekend. The teams are working hard and as we look forward to next week we have some of the team taking off to rest up and some trying to get one last shot at a conference qualifying mark" -Head Coach

The Bearcats have one more meet before the GLVC Championships, they will travel to Arkansas University to compete in the Arkansas qualifier. This meet takes place next Friday February 18
th.
