Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team travels to Quincy, Illinois this weekend to play in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home Classic at Quincy University. They will play in two non-conference games against Lake Superior State on Saturday the 17^th and East-West on Sunday the 18th, both times slated to start at 1:00 PM.
 
Lake Superior State is a fellow member of the Midwest region from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Lakers enter this weekend with an overall record of 4-5 and a 3-1 conference record. They are in the same conference as Ferris State and Grand Valley State who the Bearcats defeated earlier this season. These two programs have met two times in their history, and each have a win.
 
Their other opponent for the weekend is East-West who is a member of the USCAA where they compete as an independent outside of an athletic conference. This is the first ever matchup between these two programs.
 
The Bearcats will return home in 2023 where they will take on Williams Baptist College on January 2^nd.
