St. Louis, Mo. - The SBU women's basketball team battled the Maryville Saints in their first road game of the season tonight. The Bearcats fell to the Saints 47-57, moving them to 3-5 (0-3 GLVC) on the season.
Nine Bearcats contributed in the point column with four scoring more than six points. Sophomore
Kelsey Blakemore led the team in almost every category and scored a game high 16 points. She went 6-11 from the field and 3-5 from the charity stripe. Blakemore had three assists, four steals, and four rebounds to go along with her game high points.
The Bearcats will return to GLVC action this Saturday as they travel an hour East to take on Mckendree University. The battle of the Bearcats will have a schedule tipoff of 1:00 PM.
