Waco, Tx. – The SBU women's basketball team traveled to Baylor University to take on the Bears in their final preseason match of the year. The Bearcats fell to the division I powerhouse 40-97.
Sophomore
Emma Perry led the team in points with 9, shooting 40% from the field. Junior Victoria Hamilton was perfect from the field scoring six points and pulling down three boards. Freshman Kori Cromer came in late, but was efficient in her minutes scoring six points, with a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe and she dished out an assist.
The Bearcats will begin their season on their own home court next weekend as they host the SBU Crossover Classic. This classic will feature four regional teams including SBU, Drury, Kentucky Wesleyan, and Trevecca Nazarene. SBU will match up against Trevecca Nazarene on Friday at 6:30 PM. Then on Saturday, they will battle Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday at 5:30 PM.
