Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's basketball team opened conference play this afternoon as the hosted Missouri S&T. The Bearcats struggled to get offense going and fell 54-76. That moves them to 3-3 (0-1 GLVC) on the season.

Kelsey Keizer said, "we just are in the middle of a lot of growing pains and figuring a lot of things out. A lot of different line up changes. I told them to trust the process, get a little bit better tomorrow, let's be better on Monday and we are going to keep working."
Senior
Leikyn Walker led the team with 13 points going five of six from the field and being perfect from beyond the arc knocking down three. Junior Tori Hamilton was next with ten points and two rebounds shy of a double-double. For the fourth straight game, sophomore Claudia Vanzant led the team in rebounds, this game having nine.
The Bearcats will return to action this Monday as they play host to the Missouri St. Louis Tritons. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
