Box Score San Juan, Puerto Rico – The SBU women's basketball team wrapped up their trip to Puerto Rico this afternoon as they took on UPR-Rios Piedras. The Bearcats bounced back and won by a score of 79-74, moving to 3-2 on the season.
Sophomore
Kelsey Blakemore had a career high game of 18 points, leading the team. She shot 60% from the field and a perfect 1-1 from beyond the arc. Claudia Vanzant had her second double-double in a row pulling down 15 boards and scoring 10 points. Sophomore
Emma Perry was the only other Bearcat to score double digits scoring 13 points off three 3-pointers made.
SBU will return home and begin conference play this Saturday November 26
th in the Meyer Center. They will take on the Miners of Missouri S&T with a scheduled tipoff of 1:00 PM. The Bearcats have won three straight against Miners and have a perfect 4-0 record at home.
