Bolivar, Mo. -  The SBU Women's basketball team heads to Waco, Texas for their first exhibition game of the season as they take on Baylor University. The game will take place at the Ferrell Center with a tip-off of 7:00 PM. The Bears are currently ranked 18^th in the Nation.
 
"We are thrilled for the opportunity to compete against such a high caliber opponent like Baylor." Head Coach Kelsey Keizer said, "What a great experience for our team to play in an amazing venue and against a top 25 opponent."
 
SBU vs D-1
 
This is the 12^th division 1 exhibition matchup the lady Bearcats have played in since Head Coach Kelsey Keizer took over as head coach in the 2014-15 season.
 
They were on the verge of victory against two of the thirteen team stint. In 2015, they fell to the Marquette Golden Eagles 68-70. Just a year later, the Bearcats fell by 2 points again to the Nebraska Cornhuskers 71-73.
 
The most played team has been the Missouri Tigers in 2015, 2017, and 2021. As well they have taken on Missouri State Bears twice in 2014 and 2019.
 
In 2018-19, the team traveled to three different D-1 schools in Arkansas, Iowa State, and Missouri-Kansas City.
 
The also took on the Wichita State Shockers in 2017.
