Bolivar, Mo- The SBU Men's Basketball team had their third straight home game this afternoon against the Maryville Saints. The Bearcats finished each half strong and won the game 74-66. That win moves the Bearcats to 13-4 (7-3 GLVC) on the season.

"It always feels good to get a win in front of the home crowd, just because you feel they deserve us to play good in front of them, we work so hard to not. It was a bounce back from Thursday's game, we feel like we had a let down there and this is a big-time response by us which is not easy with an emotional game like that" said Senior Guard

Nelson led the team in points with 23 going 5-8 from beyond the arc for 62.5%. He also had a season high of 8 rebounds, along with 2 steals and 1 assist. Three other Bearcats scored in double digits including
RJ Crawford,
Mitch Ganote, and
Joe Miller who had a season high of 11 points.
Jalil Beaubrun helped the Bearcats dominate on the glass tonight, as he pulled down 9 rebounds, 4 being offensive.

"I was really proud of our guys, we talked about yesterday, just that we feel like our best basketball is ahead of us, we feel like we got a lot of areas and a lot of room we can grow and improve in and I thought we took some real good steps in that today" said Head Coach

The Bearcats have a quick turnaround, as they finish their four game home stand on Monday against their rival, the Drury Panthers. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 PM in the Meyer Center.
