Liberty, MO- The SBU Men's Basketball team took action tonight for the first time in 8 days as they traveled to William Jewell College, who is 2
nd place in the division behind the Bearcats. They won the game by a final score of 61-49, separating them from their competition. That win moving them to 11-2 and (5-1 GLVC), on the season.

The defense shined for the Bearcats tonight holding the Cardinals to 32% from the field and a season low of 49 points. The Bearcats tagged along 5 blocks and 13 steals to knock the Cardinals out of rhythm.

"I thought our guys did a good job of competing for 40 minutes tonight. William Jewell had been in such a good offensive rhythm; it was good to see our guys compete and defend" said Head Coach
Clark Sheehy.

The Bearcats will be back in action this Thursday as they travel to Rolla, Missouri to take on Missouri S&T; tip off is scheduled for 7:30 PM. SBU won the first matchup against them at home 70-51.

"We know this stretch will be hard because we have three straight road games. We will need a quick recovery so that we can be ready to compete again on Thursday."
