Indianapolis, IN- The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced
Kyleigh Vaught as Women's Basketball Player of the Week. This is her first and teams first ever GLVC POTW award.
Vaught -- a Senior from Smithon, Ill-- began the week against top ranked Drury Panthers at home on Tuesday, Jan 4. She recorded 21 points and went a perfect 10/10 from the charity stripe.
Two days later, she led the Bearcats to their first conference road win of the season scoring a team high 22 points against the Quincy Hawks. She hit 4 three pointers, pulled down 6 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists.
In her final game of the week, she scored a week high 25 points against the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles, knocking down 6 three pointers.
Vaught and the Bearcats will be back home in Bolivar this Thursday evening as they take on the Rockhurst Hawks.
