Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU women's soccer fought hard in a tough match against the Rockhurst Hawks Sunday afternoon. After falling behind early, the Bearcats were not able to get over the edge against the Hawks. With the tough loss, The Bearcats record now sits at 1-2-1 (1-1 GLVC).
The Bearcats came out ready to play, taking a few shots early in the game. SBU continued to take shots with the help of Rachel Wolecki, Julia Johnson, and Lexi Lanzafame. As the match continued, the Hawks scored, making the game 1-0. Not giving up, the Bearcats kept firing shots at the goal. Maya Cofield, Isabel Schelhammer, Madigan May, and Raegan Edwards helped the Bearcats with their shots. With time running out, the Bearcats fell short against the Hawks. Ail Harrington made 7 saves in the game.
The Bearcats will be traveling to Rolla, MO next to battle against Missouri S&T on September 24 at 5:00 PM.
