Bolivar, Mo. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has voted to allow each member institution to make the decision regarding fan attendance at athletic competition over the 2021-22 school year. 
 
Southwest Baptist University has approved fan attendance at all home sporting events. Fans are requested to remain socially distanced at all times, and masks are recommended but not required. In addition, the University will be working closely with local health agencies to provide a safe and fun fan experience for those who attend. The fan environment will be closely monitored, and the University reserves the right to make adjustments to this plan as needed.

"We are excited that this year, we plan on having fans at our games," commented Director of Athletics Mike Pitts. "I will say that we certainly appreciate the way the GLVC has prioritized the safety of our student-athletes and all of the great people that play an important part as we host events. But as it stands right now, we expect to have fans at our events during 2021-22. We can't wait to see them cheering for the Bearcats!"
