Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches has announced the 2020-21 Honors Court and Team Academic Excellence Award winners. In order to be named to the honors court, student-athletes must be a junior or senior in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, and be matriculated at least one year at their institution. Teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better qualify for the Team Academic Excellence Award.
The Southwest Baptist Men's Basketball team earned the Team Academic Excellence Award with a GPA of 3.34, and four members were named to the NABC Honors Court. Senior
Brady Smith (3.82 GPA, economics/finance), senior
Houston Johnson (3.76 GPA, chemistry), senior
Quinn Nelson (3.78 GPA, sports management), and junior
Joe Miller (3.47 GPA, exercise science) all met the qualifying criteria.
