Box Score Kansas City, Mo. – The SBU tennis teams visited Rockhurst Friday afternoon, continuing conference play. With a 6-1 victory over the Hawks, the women's team improves to 12-5 (2-0 GLVC West) and extends their winning streak to 4 straight matches.
 
Diana Cabrera and Lola Cincunegui opened the match up with a dominated 6-0 win on court 3 of doubles play. Following shortly after was Constanca Crespo and Catarina Zheng with a 6-3 win on court 1, giving the Bearcats a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
 
The first five singles matches were all won by SBU. Of those matches, Lola Cincunegui was the first to finish on court 6, downing her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Not long after, Elsa Pascual won on court 5 with a 6-1, 6-2 final. Catarina Zheng had an identical score on court 4, picking up the match-clinching point with her 6-1, 6-2 victory. Constanca Crespo went on to defeat her opponent 7-6, 6-0 on court 3, and this week's GLVC Player of the Week in Diana Cabrera also picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court 2. Rockhurst's point came on court 1, in a very tight match that ended in a 10-8 tiebreaker.
 
The team continues play in the Kansas City area, taking on William Jewell tomorrow, Saturday, April 10 starting at 11:00 AM.
