Quincy, ill. – Southwest Baptist faced off against a solid team in Quincy and attempted a comeback but came up just short in a 3-1 loss.
Quincy got a quick goal just 4 minutes into the game and notched their second goal 23 minutes in.
Lexi Lanzafame got the ball deep into the offensive end at the 54
th minute mark and centered it to
Rocci De Felice who put it in the back of the net to make it 2-1. The Hawks would score again in the 79
th minute to spoil SBU's comeback bid.
Raegan Edwards and
Allyson Leiber each had two shots for the Bearcats to lead the team.
Ashlynn Edison drew the start in goal and held her own with 5 saves on the game.
The Bearcats will have their last road match against Truman State on April 11 before returning home for the final game of the year.
