Bolivar, Mo. – The Bearcats won the final game of the 4-game series against Rockhurst with an 8-7 final score. This makes the Bearcats record 8-6 on the season.
Rockhurst struck first with a home run in the 2
nd inning but the Bearcats responded in the bottom half of that inning when
Jackson Soule hit a two-run bomb to right field to pull ahead.
Rhys Cratty hit a three-run homer in the third inning to extend the lead.
Sam Avila and
Jackson Soule drove in two more runs that same inning to lead 7-1 through 3 innings.
Zack Ehlen drove in
Blake Lutgen in the 6
th inning that would be the deciding factor that eventually won the game for the Bearcats.
Jackson Soule and
Rhys Cratty each hit a home run and drove in 3 runs in the win.
Kyle Smith pitched 5.2 innings and struck out 8 in the start.
Southwest Baptist will travel to William Jewell for a 4-game series on April 1-3.
