Kirksville, Mo. – Southwest Baptist came out on the wrong end of a low-scoring affair in a 41-47 loss to Truman State. This makes the Bearcats record 5-14 (5-14 GLVC) for the season.
Kyleigh Vaught and
Brylee Graddy got the Bearcats out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first couple minutes. Graddy would knock down a 3-pointer late in the first quarter to take a 3-point lead. SBU would trail by no more than 1-point in the second quarter and would draw the last blood with a 3-pointer from
Kyleigh Vaught to take a 2-point lead into halftime. The Bearcats would find themselves down by 12 in the fourth and mounted a comeback but came up just short in the end, losing by 6.
Kyleigh Vaught led the Bearcats in scoring and rebounds with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
Regan Tibbits also grabbed 6 rebounds for the cause.
Taliayah Wilson had the lone block for the Bearcats along with a steal. The Bearcats turned up the intensity on defense, forcing the Bulldogs into 15 turnovers for the game.
