Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Women's Soccer team took on the Quincy Hawks Sunday afternoon in their final game of the 2021 season. The Hawks topped the Bearcats 6-0, finishing the Bearcats season with a 2-13-1 record.
Within seven minutes of the game, the Hawks scored twice to start out the match 2-0. Abby Youngblood took a shot bottom right, but the ball was saved. Late in the 1st half, Quincy scored two more times. Sophia Lanzafame kicked the ball, but it missed the net. Senior Raegan Edwards also fired a shot, but it went wide right. Youngblood then followed with a shot, but it went wide right. Moments later, Racheal Wolecki took a shot, but it missed the net. Edwards took another shot bottom left, but the ball was saved. Quincy was made another goal to make the score 5-0. Late in the 2nd half, the Hawks found a way to score again. Edwards took a shot in the last seconds of the game, but Quincy finished the game with the final 6-0.
Raegan Edwards was the leading scorer for SBU, finishing the season with 5 goals and 1 assist for 11 total points. Maya Cofield also had 3 goals along with an assist for 7 points. Alli Harrington was the primary goalkeeper, starting 13 games for the Bearcats. She made 74 saves on the year.
