Bolivar, Mo. – Regan Tibbits had a season high 17 points in a tough loss to University of Indianapolis. This marks the 7
th loss on the season for the Bearcats.
Southwest Baptist got started hot with a 3-pointer by
Brylee Graddy and a layup from
Regan Tibbits.
Kyleigh Vaught would make another jumper to bring their lead to 7-3 over Indianapolis just 2 minutes into the game. The quarter would end with Indianapolis in the lead 12-11. The Bearcats would regain the lead with 8:28 remaining in the second and then again with 2:59 remaining but a late run would leave the Bearcats trailing by 8 going into halftime.
Taliayah Wilson would give the Bearcats a quick boost with 4 points and a block in a 1-minute stint.
Regan Tibbits was a workhorse on the court, playing 35 minutes and recording 17 points, 4 rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal.
Rachel Tippens came off the bench to knock down 3 shots on 5 attempts for 10 points along with 4 rebounds.
Mary Rose Foster led the Bearcats in assists with 3 for the game.
The Bearcats will have one more game in this home stand on Saturday January 9
th at 1:00 PM up against William Jewell. Southwest Baptist will be looking to get revenge after falling at William Jewell 66-63 earlier this season.
