Springfield, Mo. – For the first time since 1987-88, the Bearcats swept the Panthers in their season series. In addition, the 81-46 final is the largest margin of victory in match-up history, and 46 is the fewest points scored by the Panthers since the teams have competed against one another. SBU improves to 10-2 and the Panthers fall to 5-5. With the win, the Bearcats complete the 8-0 sweep against teams in the GLVC West.

Juan Morales then completed a three-point play,

Brady Smith found the basket on a layup to quickly boost SBU's lead to 18-9. Every bucket scored by the Panthers was answered in a major way. With 7:03 left in the first half, SBU went on a 24-7 run to close out the half.
Continuing where they left off, the Bearcats forced three turnovers on Drury's first three possessions of the second half, and
Quinn Nelson got things going with another three. SBU kept doing their thing, playing their style of offense and holding tight on defense. Their first 40-point lead came at 10:21 with a jumper from
Ricky Crawford Jr. A few minutes later it was RJ again who gave SBU their biggest lead of the game at 41 points, 76-35. Late in the game,
Cameron Altena hit a three to score his first points as a Bearcat. Senior
