THE COACHES
SBU head coachÂ
Kelsey Keizer begins her seventh season on the SBU bench after compiling a 81-90 (44-74 conf.) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-GLVC honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as the GLVC takes only 8 teams to the postseason tournament.
Larry Park is in his 12th season of coaching the Hawks. In 2016-17 Park led the Hawks to their first back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1997-98. Park has received the Walt Tylicki Memorial Award from the Greater Kansas City Basketball Coaches Association for the many successful years he has coached in the area.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Southwest Baptist leads the series 13-8Â tracing back to both school's NAIA days. The Bearcats split the season series in 2019-20 with a 54-98 loss and 81-62 win, followed up with the Hawks taking the game earlier this season 49-73
