St. Louis, Mo. - Southwest Baptist goes back on the road again to St. Louis to face Missouri-St. Louis. The Bearcats look to start a run after defeating William Jewell in their last matchup.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
In their first year as full-time members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, the SBU Women's Basketball team finished 15-13 (9-11 GLVC) on the year. The GLVC allows just 8 teams to make the conference tournament. Finishing 10th out of 16 teams in the GLVC, the Bearcats narrowly missed the conference tournament for the second straight year.

The Bearcats are being led by the trio of senior's Kyleigh Vaught, Sydney Bandy, and Regan Tibbits with a combined 35.7 points per game between them. SBU as a team is averaging 6.8 three pointers per game on an impressive 32.5% shooting. The Bearcats are also leading the GLVC in free throw percentage with a 81.3% mark along with currently being 5th in the conference in 3-point field goals made with 6.8 per game.

Southwest Baptist is coming off a big win over William Jewell after falling to the Cardinals earlier this season. Syndey Bandy kept her hot hand going, scoring in double-digits for the second time in three games. Kyleigh Vaught also tied a career high in steals with four in the game.

SCOUTING THE MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS TRITONS
Missouri-St. Louis is coming into this game with a win under their belt after dropping a close one to Lewis on a last second shot. Senior Alex LaPorta leads the Tritons with 19.6 points per game which is also good enough for 4th in the conference. LaPorta is also 5th in the conference in rebounding just behind junior Kiara Stewart who is averaging 9.4 per game for 4th in the conference. The Tritons have a high powered offense that is averaging a conference 2nd 75.2 points per game. Missouri-St. Louis also leads the conference in offensive rebounds with 14.75 per game.

THE COACHES
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer begins her seventh season on the SBU bench after compiling a 81-90 (44-74 conf.) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-GLVC honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as the GLVC takes only 8 teams to the postseason tournament.

Katie Vaughn is in her 9th season at the healm for the Tritons. Vaughn currectly holds a record of 126-96 prior to the 2020-21 season which is good enough for the all-time wins leader in program history. Vaughn has guided the Tritons to 6 GLVC Tournament berths including one NCAA Tournament berth in 2013-14. 16 players have also been named to an All-GLVC team during Vaughn's tenure.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Southwest Baptist leads the series 14-11 over the Tritons with the Bearcats taking last year's game in Bolivar 80-68.
