Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats will face the Flyers for a conference showdown. The Flyers are currently sitting in second place in the GLVC. Southwest Baptist will try to use the home court advantage to pull off the upset.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats return just 1 starter from the 2018-19 season in 
Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season, 
Tyra Kidd and 
Zahria White. Returning for their junior seasons are 
Taliayah Wilson, 
Regan Tibbits, and 
Sydney Bandy. Sophomores 
Brylee Graddy and 
Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transfer 
Alexus Johnson.
InIn their last competition, the Bearcats stretched the winning streak out to 3 games with an overtime win over Illinois Springfield. The Bearcats finished with 85 points on 39% shooting and 4 players finishing with double digit points. 
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
The Lewis Flyers are led by senior Rachel Hinders who is averaging 19 points per game along with 7 rebounds. The Flyers were picked to finish second in the GLVC in the preseason, and are living up to the expectiations. They started the season off slow going 3-5 in non-conference play but turned it aroud winning their first 9 conference games in a row before recently dropping 3 out of 4 of the last games.
THE COACHES
SBU head coach 
Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.
Samantha Quigley Smith is entering her 3rd season at the helm of the Flyers. In Smith's first season at Lewis she helped lead them to a 24-8 record along with their 6th straight NCAA Tournament appearance. She also coached a player to national player of the year honors in the 2018-19 season.

This will be the first ever matchup between the Flyers and the Bearcats.Â
