Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats will play host to the Hawks of Quincy University for a midweek home game before a weekend road trip.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats return just 1 starter from the 2018-19 season in Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season, Tyra Kidd and Zahria White. Returning for their junior seasons are Taliayah Wilson, Regan Tibbits, and Sydney Bandy. Sophomores Brylee Graddy and Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transfer Alexus Johnson.

In their last competition, the Bearcats came out cold and were unable to overcome the deficit. The Bearcats were led by Kyleigh Vaught with 11 points and 5 assists. Brylee Graddy came off the bench for a solid 10 points as well.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
The Quincy Hawks have a 7-17 (3-13 GLVC) record this season, currently riding a 4 game losing streak. Their three conference wins have come against William Jewell, Illinois Springfield, and Rockhurst. Their most recent win was against Rockhurst, winning 95-75. Their losing streak started with UMSL and most recently Bellarmine. The Hawks have 4 players averaging double digist, Maddie Spagnola (12.5), Laney Lantz (11.0), Alexa Low (10.8), and Aleksandra Petrovic (10.5). In the GLVC preseason rankings, Quincy was picked 16th with just 20 points.

THE COACHES
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.

Jeni Garber is currently in her 9th season at the helm. Garber has led the Hawks to 3 NCAA Tournament appearances during her tenure. Before becoming head coach at Quincy, Garber served as an assistant at the University of Missouri.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Bearcats lead the all time series 6-3 over Quincy, with the last matchup taking place in 2009-10.
