Kansas City, Mo. - The Bearcats will travel to face Rockhurst in a conference matchup. Rockhurst is currently on a losing streak of 6 games and the Bearcats will be trying to extend that streak for the Hawks.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats return just 1 starter from the 2018-19 season in Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season, Tyra Kidd and Zahria White. Returning for their junior seasons are Taliayah Wilson, Regan Tibbits, and Sydney Bandy. Sophomores Brylee Graddy and Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transfer Alexus Johnson.

In their last competition, the Bearcats faltered late on the road to William Jewell. Bailey Rezabek finished the game with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Kyleigh Vaught and Alexus Johnson also contributed 13 points in the effort. 

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Rockhurst is currently averaging 73.5 points per game but have been unable to pull out the close wins with a scoring difference of -3.1. The Hawks are led in scoring by senior Madeline Ronshausen with a solid 18.1 points per game. Freshman Paige Pendley has also been a key contributer in the offense with a 10.2 points per game average.Rockhurst has been cold as of late, losing 6 straight.

THE COACHES
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.

Larry Park is entering his 11th season with the Hawks. He has gained back-to-back winning seasons in 2016-17 for the first time since 1997-98. He also helped to lead Rockhurst to a second place finish in the GLVC west division. Park has been a coach at the collegiate level for the past 36 years. 

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Bearcats lead the all time series 12-6 over Rockhurst. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the Kelsey Keizer era though.
