SCOUTING THE BEARCATS

Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season,Â
Tyra Kidd andÂ
Zahria White. Returning for their junior seasons areÂ
Taliayah Wilson,Â
Regan Tibbits, andÂ
Sydney Bandy. SophomoresÂ
Brylee Graddy andÂ
Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transferÂ
Alexus Johnson.
In their last competition, the Bearcats got back on the winning trail with a comeback win over Maryville, 68-59. The team had a huge fourth quarter, outscoring the Saints 30-14 to complete the comeback and pick up the huge win.Â
SCOUTING THE MINERS
Missouri S&T is coming off of a loss at Drury 68-116. The Miners are led by Sophomore Laura Rodriguez and Senior Mykala Baylor who are both averaging 12 points per game. Baylor is also leading the team in rebounds averaging nearly 11 rebounds per game. As a team the Miners rely on a strong offense to outscore the opponent, not focusing on defense as much.
THE COACHES
SBU head coachÂ
Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.
Alan Eads in entering his 18th season as head coach of the Miners. He is the all time leader in wins at S&T and has also led them to two NCAA Tournament appearances. He has also reached the GLVC Tournament six times in his tenure and got as high as #24 in the national rankings.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Southwest Baptist is leading in the all time series 31-25 after winning the first matchup with the Miners this season. In the first matchup the Bearcats won 85-78 and look to win the entire season series.Â
