SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats return just 1 starter from the 2018-19 season in Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season, Tyra Kidd and Zahria White. Returning for their junior seasons are Taliayah Wilson, Regan Tibbits, and Sydney Bandy. Sophomores Brylee Graddy and Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transfer Alexus Johnson.

In their last competition, the Bearcats went picked up their first conference win, first as a part of the GLVC, against McKendree. Bailey Rezabek contributed 23 of SBU's 63 points in the 63-58 win. Sydney Bandy collected 11 rebounds, and Regan Tibbits added 9 points and 3 steals in the win. SBU currently ranks 2nd in the GLVC in scoring offense, averaging 75.4 points.

SCOUTING THE SCREAMING EAGLES
The Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles (Evansville, IN) head into Saturday's matchup with a 5-3 (1-1 GLVC) record. They began the year with a major upset against #11 ranked Central Missouri, winning 52-45. USI forced UCM to 23 turnovers and held them to 3-16 from beyond the arc. The Screaming Eagles later went on a four-game winning streak, defeating McKendree in that mix. Thursday evening, USI fell to #1 ranked Drury 69-94. Ashley Johnson had 22 points which led both teams. She leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.6 per contest. She also has 30 assists and 17 steals on the year.

THE COACHES
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.

Rick Stein is entering his 21st season on the Southern Indiana bench. He has been named GLVC Coach of the Year three times. In his tenure at USI, Stein has led the team to 6 NCAA Tournament appearances and 1 Elite Eight appearance. Last season, Stein led USI to a 20-9 (13-5 GLVC) record.
