Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats will come back home for a few games and start it off against Maryville. The Bearcats will look to take the second game of the season against the Saints after falling at Maryville.Â
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats return just 1 starter from the 2018-19 season inÂ
Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season,Â

Zahria White. Returning for their junior seasons areÂ

Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transferÂ
Alexus Johnson.
In their last competition, the Bearcats lost to Indianapolis on the road, 56-67. The Bearcats were down early in this game but tried to complete a comeback bid but were unable to fully complete it.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Maryville University is led by senior Mary Barton who is currently averaging 21.9 points per game. Maryville is also led by the four seniors on the team. Maryville is coming off of a win at Rockhurst. The Saints try to use the inside game to establish their outside shot. The Saints are currently averaging 72.3 points per game while only allowing 68.3 points per game.
THE COACHES
SBU head coachÂ
Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.
Collin Lanam is entering his fourth year as the head coach of the Saints. Previously he was the assistant coach for the men's basketball team for three seasons. Lanam has achieved the most wins in a season for Maryville since 2013-14 and also one conference tournament berth.Â
ALL-TIME SERIES
Southwest Baptist trails in the all-time series against the Saints 0-2 with the most recent matchup coming earlier this season. The Bearcats fell 66-82 in the first meeting and look to finally get a win against Maryville.
