Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist has the second game of the first 2020 weekend home series. They will play host to Missouri-St. Louis who is just recently coming off of a loss to Drury. The Bearcats look to improve in conference play and get their second win of 2020.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats return just 1 starter from the 2018-19 season inÂ
Bailey Rezabek. SBU also returns their forward transfer duo from last season,Â

Megan Worthington also return. The Bearcats also add quite a few new faces, including NCAA DI transferÂ
Alexus Johnson.
In their last competition, the Bearcats fell to Lindenwood 68-72 and was led by Bailey Rezabek with 17 points. Other key contributors were Kyleigh Vaught(16), Regan Tibbits(15), and Sydney Bandy(11). Rezabek also led the team in rebounds with 9 for the game.Â
SCOUTING THE TRITONS
The University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons are coming off a loss to #1 Drury to make their record 6-7 (1-3 GLVC) for the season. The Tritons one conference win comes against Missouri S&T in which they won 67-56. UMSL also lost their first conference game to Lindenwood 70-78 in overtime. The Tritons are being led by R-Sr. Laura Szorenyi who is averaging 11.2 PPG on the season. The Tritons are a young team, having only 3 seniors on the roster.Â
THE COACHES
SBU head coachÂ
Kelsey Keizer begins her sixth season on the SBU bench after compiling a 66-76 (35-63 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Keizer led two Bearcats to All-MIAA honors last season, and fell just short of the conference tournament as SBU lost the head-to-head against the #10 seeded MSSU earlier in the season.
Katie Vaughn is entering her 8th season as the Tritons coach. Vaughn is the current leader for most wins all time at UMSL. in her 7 seasons with UMSL she has compilled a 110-83 total record including 6 trips to the GLVC Tournament, with the Tritons making it to the semifinals in 2018.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series 13-11, 0-1Â in Coach Keizer's time. Last season, SBU fell just short to the Tritons losing a heartbreaker 67-69.Â
