Pittsburg, Kan. - The Bearcats head into the weekend with a 1-7 record after a tough weekend in Kingsville, Texas. At the Javelina Invitational, the Bearcats fell to all four opponents by scores of 1-3, 0-3, 0-3, and 1-3. In the GAC/GLVC Crossover, SBU will face East Central to kick things off. Earlier this season, the Bearcats defeated the Tigers in three consecutive sets, so they'll be looking to get another win there. The other three matches consist of Oklahoma Baptist, Northwestern Oklahoma State, and Southern Nazarene. SBU is now a full-time member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, consisting of 16 total teams. The team's home opener is also their conference opener, taking on Lindenwood on September 27.
