Bolivar, Mo - Caleb Sneed notched his 240th career hit in the first game of Friday's double header to beat out
Chance Wolfe for first place in career hits. Despite Sneed's big day, the Bearcats fell to Missouri Southern in both games with scores of 11-6 and 10-0. The losses push the Bearcats record to 12-23 (6-7 MIAA) for the season.

Game One
Missouri Southern jumped on the board first with four in the first two innings. The Bearcats came back with one in the second on a
Noah Tucker single to center field, and one more in the third on Sam Avila's single to left scoring
Caleb Sneed. Avila struck again in the fifth with a triple scoring
Caleb Sneed and
Carl Schwettmann. However, the Bearcats couldn't mount the full comeback, falling 11-6.

Caleb Sneed had the highlight of the game after he sent a ball back up the middle in the fifth for his 240
th career hit, taking sole possession of SBU's Career Hits record. He singled again in the eighth to finish with a 3 for 5 line with 3 runs. Avila also finished 2 for 5 with 3 RBIs to lead the Bearcats.

Game Two
Kyle Smith got the start in game two and came out firing, throwing 6 shutout innings to start the game.
Carl Schwettmann flashed the leather in the top of the 6th making a diving play in center field to prevent a double. Missouri Southern broke the scoreless tie in the 7
th, scoring 8 runs, and another two runs after to create a 10-0 final score.

Tyler Mathys led the Bearcats at the plate going 2 for 4 in the loss.
Caleb Sneed added to his hit total with a single in the third inning.
Kyle Smith struck out 6 in his 6.1 innings of work as well as
Brett Wilbanks striking out 3 in 1.1 innings.

The final game of the series will be on Saturday April, 12 at 11:30 AM. The game was initially scheduled for a 12 PM start, but it has been pushed up 30 minutes in an attempt to beat the potential weather.
